Chido Obi, Sekou Kone, Elyh Harrison, Jack Moorhouse and Tyler Fredricson have been added to the first-team squad list on the back of Manchester United's matchday programmes.

Ruben Amorim's squad has been hit by injuries in the last few weeks and he was forced to name seven youngsters from the academy on the bench against Tottenham earlier this month.

Obi and young goalkeeper Harrison were included in the first-team squad again to face Ipswich, and they were officially added to the squad list on the back of the United Review programme, alongside Kone, Moorhouse and Fredricson, who all travelled to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Amorim handed Obi his debut against Spurs and he made another appearance from the bench against Everton at Goodison Park. The 17-year-old is the only player to have been given a first-team debut by Amorim but more youngsters will be hopeful of impressing United's head coach.

Obi was an unused substitute in the 3-2 victory against Ipswich on Wednesday and should be involved with the Under-18s against Arsenal in the FA Youth Cup quarter-finals on Friday.

The game is set to be played at the Emirates and Obi will get the opportunity to test himself against his former club should he travel after making the first-team bench.

Harrison was recalled from his loan spell with Chester FC in the winter window and he's been included in four senior squads since his return, as Altay Bayindir and Tom Heaton are injured.

The 'keeper started every league game for Chester and kept seven clean sheets in 18 starts. He conceded just 16 goals in that period and became a key player despite his young age.

Kone was named on the first-team bench for just the second time against Everton and the midfielder still needs time to physically develop after signing from Guidars FC in August.

Moorhouse and Fredricson, who captains the Under-21s, were only named in the squad against Spurs.
